My very own personal Guitar Hero (Todd), officially became a teenager on the 22nd, the day after Grandpa's birthday. I can't believe Thao is old enough to be the father of a teenager! Todd is an amazing kid - he plays the guitar INCREDIBLY, he is a fabulous artist, he is tall and handsome and has a great smile when he chooses to share it. Other than the occasional spurts of moodiness and attitude, he is a great kid. The kids in our ward (especially the girls) like him and think he's funny. I get comments from people at church who are impressed with the way he passes the sacrament. He is a great babysitter when he doesn't torment his siblings. And I am very proud to call him my son!!!! Happy 13th, Todd!

Soccer OBSESSION
In case you don't already know, Team Tran is obsessed with soccer! Audrey is on the Premier Girls competition team, and Aaron and Todd are also on competition teams. Until we start tournaments and games in August, this means practices T, W, Th. And last week and this week, Thao is working on getting his coaching license, so he is gone M, W, F evenings and most of Saturday. So it's crazy around our house! It sure makes me glad we haven's signed Lance up for soccer yet!
I will try to put pictures on later if I can get the computer and the children to cooperate!!!!

Congrats to the Brooks Family!
Our good friends Matt and Cynthia Brooks have a much cuter addition than ours! The long-awaited Alexandria McKell Brooks (Allie) was born July 15th while her daddy is on leave from Afghanistan. She is beautiful and healthy and we are so happy for them. Matt will be returning next week to serve our country for another 7 months. We are grateful to call this awesome family our friends, and proud of Matt for his service!!!!
Welcome to the Family!
What was I thinking????? Last week I got on the computer to see if I could find bigger habitats for Aaron and Audrey's pet rats, and instead, found a family who had been given a pet rat and didn't want him. So Lance is now the proud owner of a ruby-eyed white rat named Max. He's cute, but used to being fed through the bars, and as such, has bitten me, Lance and Audrey. Oh, well, it's the usual state of affairs at the Tran household!!!!

On the Blog Bandwagon!
OK, so my sister Carri is in town and is MAKING me do a blog! So welcome to the Tran family blog. We have had a busy last couple weeks, with Carri's family in town and a mini family reunion tonight. We also have made some new friends visiting from Vietnam - Teresa Bird and kids. So we have been playing and playing and playing. What a fun time of year! We visited Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum, Tracy Aviary, the skate park, Hogle Zoo, the splash park, Silver Lake and more. Plus we've been up to visit Allison's mom and dad in Perry. Life is busy and full, but we are enjoying it, which is as it should be!
